The last round of fixtures in 2020, and it comes with a full afternoon and evening of action.
Fixtures
Wednesday 30th December
Celtic v Dundee United - 3pm
St. Johnstone v Hamilton - 3pm
St. Mirren v Rangers - 3pm
Livingston v Aberdeen - 4pm
Hibernian v Ross County - 6pm
Motherwell v Kilmarnock - 6:15pm
Goalkeeper - Connor Hazard
He has started their last three league games and has kept a clean sheet in all of them. At only £2.3m he seems like a must have.
Defence - Paul McGinn, James Tavernier, Jeremie Frimpong, Borna Barisic, Danny McNamara
James Tavernier has cooled off for his standards, and has not had an attacking return in three gameweeks. But that hasn't made him lose value, Rangers have kept 16 clean sheets in 20 games this season and fullbacks Tavernier and Barisic lead the league in crosses so the attacking returns will return soon.
Celtic seem to have found their way again, and with the rotation between Diego Laxalt and Greg Taylor at left back, Frimpong is the go to defensive asset.
Hibs have kept 3 clean sheets in their last 5 and are facing a very bad Ross County team.
In what will be McNamara's last game in Perth they face a Hamilton team that seem to be missing half their squad and have been dominated by Livingston and Celtic in their last two games both recording clean sheets against the Lanarkshire team.
I was close to picking a Motherwell defender as they face Kilmarnock who have lost their last five only scoring once in that run.
Midfielders - Martin Boyle and Mohamed Elyounoussi
Boyle has drawn the most fouls so far this season with 53, nobody is even close, with the second best having only drawn 40. He is always on the pitch as well, playing all but 12 minutes so far this season.
Mo Elyounoussi has had a good season so far. With six goals leaving him joint top scorer for Celtic.
Attackers - Kevin Nisbet, Stevie May, Kemar Roofe
Kevin Nisbet has 10 goals and Hibs are facing a County side that concede almost two goals a game.
Stevie May faces an even worse defence in his former side Hamilton, they have conceded 45 goals in twenty games this season. May had his best game of the season last time they faced Accies, scoring twice and getting one assist.
The stats for Kemar Roofe are incredible, nine goals and two assists in 13 games. He has 0.89 goals per 90 and when you add in his assists he averages over a goal contribution per ninety.
Captain Picks
James Tavernier like always is the obvious pick and the safest one. Backing either Frimpong, Hazard or Barisic as vice captain is probably guaranteed to return points but we are swinging for the fences and picking Kevin Nisbet to make a big statement in the golden boot race.
